Mitsubishi Electric launches two new series of frequency inverters
Mitsubishi Electric now launches the series, FR-D700 and FR-E700; two ranges of frequency inverters in the low and medium segments. The series are taking major performance steps, and will master application areas that previously demanded significantly more advanced models.
With the FR-D and FR-E upgrades, the 700 product family is complete. Other series are the FR-A700 for really advanced applications, and the FR-F700 adapted for HVAC (e.g. pump and fan applications).
Fifth generation complete
Together, they make up the fifth generation of compact inverters and they have several features in common, in addition to the steel gray colour. All frequency inverters now have a settings wheel-button for fine tuning as standard, as well as an integrated display where you can immediately see which settings have been made. Previously, this was an optional feature.
New ultra compact standard
The FR-D700 will represent the new standard for ultra compact frequency inverters. Simple management in combination with better performance means that there is a wide range to choose from when it comes to application types. The output has increased to 7.5 kW and soon, it will even be 15 kW. In addition, the series holds many new functions, such as autotuning and sensorless vector control, providing the frequency inverter with high torque throughout the range, even at low rotation speeds.
Energy savings with OEC
The reimbursement time for a frequency inverter is minimal when it comes to energy savings. Mitsubishi Electric takes it one step further with the OEC (Optimum Excitation Control), which is a standard feature in the FR-D700. The OEC is constantly optimizing the engine’s magnetization, providing instant savings of 10 %.
Exchangeable option cards means freedom of choice
The FR-E700 can be connected to RTU Modbus as standard, and to all the other ordinary field buses via exchangeable option cards. In addition, the series is equipped with an integrated USB port enabling up- and down-loading of parameters from a PC.
